2019 promises to be an exciting year for the world auto industry. Some products will stop production – most of them are small cars due to the general trend – but many new models from famous brands will appear. The list below is synthesized by Top Gear, including the first-ever supercar to the new generation sports car.
Aston Martin Valkyrie – supercar more than 1,000 horsepower
Aston Martin plans to produce only 150 Valkyries. The 6.5-liter V12 with a power of about 1,130 horsepower is allowed to run on public roads. Mechanical details are processed with high technology, including many latest engine manufacturing technologies on F1 racing cars. Estimated selling price is 3 million USD.
Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake – limited edition sports car
Once revealed in 2017, Shooting Brake belongs to Zagato’s Vanquish line designed to honor a long-term partnership between British car brand and Italian designer. Developed from the Vanquish S platform, Shooting Brake is more luxurious than sport despite sharing a 5.9-liter V12 engine.
Only 99 Zagato Shooting Brake units are available, the same amount as the other limited edition versions, namely Zagato Coupe, Zagato Volante. However, all 99 vehicles were owned and are on their way home.
Bugatti Divo – new supercar icon 5.8 million USD
After the blockbuster Chiron debuted in 2016, Bugatti introduced Divo with no small ambition to surpass its own supercar. Similar to Chiron, Divo equipped with a 8-liter W16 engine with four turbo chargers,capacity of 1,500 horsepower, maximum torque of 1,600 Nm. 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, four-wheel drive. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in less than 2.5seconds.
Divo’s number is limited to 40 cars and produced at the place where Chiron once shipped. All 40 vehicles were owned before the supercar was released to the public. The starting price is 5.8 million USD – about twice that of Chiron.
Ferrari 488 Pista Spider – 710 horsepower convertible
According to Ferrari, this is the 50th convertible in its history and has the best mass/power ratio among convertibles ever produced,about 1.92 kg/horsepower. 3.9 V8 engine, dual turbocharger, 710 horsepower,acceleration 0-100 km/h in 2.85 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of 340km/h.
Ferrari also equips 488 Pista Spider with a new aerodynamic optimization system. Supercar convertible uses 20-inch alloy wheels. In addition, car buyers can choose carbon wheels to reduce weight by 20% compared to alloy type.
McLaren 720S Spider – new convertible supercar for $350,000
The hood of 720S Spider can be opened/closed for about 11seconds, at speeds up to about 50 km/h. The opening/closing mechanism of 720S Spider is about 6 seconds faster than the 650S Spider.
M804T 4.0 V8 engine, dual turbocharger, 710 horsepower and maximum torque of 770 Nm. The rear diffuser is reset to optimize the aerodynamics of the convertible. Vehicles can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 2.8seconds and reach a maximum speed of 340 km/h, equivalent to the hardtop version. McLaren supercar convertible will deliver from March. Price 720S Spider from 315,000 USD, higher than 26,000 USD compared to the Coupe version.
