With a total weight of 1585 kg, the F-Type Project 7 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds (0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds), while top speed is electronically limited at 300 km/h or 186 mph

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible

When Ford took the wraps off the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible yesterday we thought the droptop version of the iconic car was sorely underrepresented in the coverage. This wasn’t a fault of the media. Ford released no official images during the reveal itself. A strange omission when you realize that the Mustang is one of the best-selling convertibles in the country.

The car’s roof is an automated folding soft top, which now features a standard multilayer insulated cloth that gives it a more upscale appearance and a quieter cabin. The new top, sourced from Webasto, also lowers twice as fast as before, requiring less than 10 seconds to achieve the feat.

Engine options for the 2015 Mustang, which Ford unveiled globally Dec. 5, include a 5.0-liter V8 with upgraded valvetrain and cylinder heads that yield more than 420 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque; 3.7-liter V6 with at least 300 horsepower and 270 lb.ft. of torque; and an all-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine at more than 305 horsepower and 300 lb.-ft. of torque.

The convertible has been accounting for 18 percent of Mustang sales to date, and it is the only convertible sold anywhere in the world by the Ford Motor Company, so that percentage may rise now that the Mustang is going global. For that reason, the company has invested a lot in this new convertible, and we can’t wait to see how it stacks up against arch-rival Camaro.

2015 Ferrari California T

2015 Ferrari California T

Ferrari has revealed a new car model – comprehensively revamped version of its entry-level California model prior to the car’s debut at the Geneva Auto Show. Now dubbed the 2015 Ferrari California T, this 2+2 retractable hardtop GT will arrive here late this year boasting sleeker styling, enhanced dynamics and for the first time since Ferrari’s fabled F40 supercar, a turbocharged engine.

Updated for the second time since its launch in 2008, the California T gains an evolution of the twin-turbocharged V8 that is also found under the hood of the Maserati Quattroporte. Ferrari engineers have managed to squeeze 560 horsepower and 556 lb-ft. of torque from the eight-cylinder mill thanks to a host of modifications including a displacement that has been increased to 3.9-liters.

If a direct-injection turbocharged V8 sounds familiar, it should. Maserati is playing with a similar configuration right now, but Ferrari insists that this engine is a different project entirely. With a flat-plane crank and different displacement, the only thing the two V8s officially share is a manufacturing facility. But something tells us there may be more than a little commonality between the two blocks.

Visually, the California T features a new front fascia that falls in line with Ferrari’s latest design language. The updates include elongated headlights inspired by the F12berlinetta, a simpler version of Ferrari’s trademarked egg-crate grille and a new hood with two deep air vents. The rear end is fitted with a redrawn bumper, horizontal tail pipes and a more prominent air diffuser.

Pricing for the 2015 Ferrari California T will be announced closer to its U.S. on-sale date. However, it’s expected to be fairly close to the current model and start around $205,000. Launch colors for this new Ferrari will include Rosso California and Blu California…

2015 Lamborghini Estoque

Lamborghini Estoque Convertible four-door supercar has been rumoring to join the production line. This hot supercar model has created a lot of astonishment among the car enthusiasts when displayed at the 2008 Paris Motorshow.

The 2015 Lamborghini Estoque Convertible four-door supercar is expected to be released in 2014 after years of being left aside. The new model seems to evolve from an earlier version of the Lamborghini Espada which was the manufacturer’s first-ever four-door model.

It is expected that a 2015 Lamborghini Estoque Convertible four-door supercar version will be launched as a concept in 2015 model and will be scheduled for production in 2016. As we are accustomed by Lamborghini, the “Estoque” model has been named this way after the spade used by matadors, carrying on this way the untamed bull legacy.

There is also a slight chance that the Lamborghini Estoque Convertible four-door supercar might be available with a hybrid drive-train developed for Audi A8 in the near future. However, the four-door sport sedan might have an ace on its sleeve giving the fact that it will be more luxurious than its competitors, which will also mean a higher price tag. It is expected that this exquisite Lamborghini Estoque Convertible four-door supercar will cost you around $230.000.
